Bob always took fantastic care of my visiting friends when they wanted to dive and always made it really easy for us. His service is irreplacable but the man, Bob the man, was and is a treasure. Bob, you are missed.

I scolded you on the Kahalakai around 4 years ago. You were my good friend from that time. However, you passed away, and I am really sad. I met you once again if possible and wanted to apologize for having scolded you at that time. Please spend calm days from now on in heaven. SAYONARA MY FRIEND...

Anyone who knew Bob would tell you that any conversation he was involved in there were no gray areas about how he felt. That is what I loved the most about Bob. He was a straight forward MAN and he stood by his beliefs. I spent many hours on the boat and underwater with Bob, both of us working with our customers underwater, and doing our best to entertain them on the boat. I miss the daily conversations with Bob and I will forever miss him. When I do get back home to Hawaii my first dive will be done thinking of him and believing that he is there with us all, watching over us. You either loved Bob or you hated him...I loved Bob and he was my friend.

Everywhere you go you seem to brighten the place up and make new friends. The world is going to be a little less without you. Bob, I am going to miss you so much. Pura Vida my friend.

Bob, you have made my life so much better in so many ways. You have been such a great friend. I am going to miss the phone calls about the Celtics and Lakers. The return trip here to Costa Rica. I now have the sad task of telling the friends you made here that you will not be coming back.

It's all starting to sink in. It still doesn't seem real. He was my friend my brother and sometimes my Dad all rolled into one. We didn't start out as friends. We almost came to blows more than once. And even recently I swore I would never speak to him again. He was quick to anger but just as quick to forgive. He had a BIG heart. I learned so much from him. I will pass it on.

Bob Clark's final farewell off the coast of Waikiki. Bob was a true friend. I'll miss him. Here are some links to some of the images and video I captured during Bob's sendoff. DVDs with the hi-res video and images in the video are available for those who were there--shoot me an email. Bob was a supporter of mine and the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii. The DVDs are free to any of Bob’s friends, but I do ask that you adopt a few ducks for this year's Rubber Duckie Race in return (if you can)!

Bob was a huge help when I was a brand new instructor. I don't know how many times in those first months Bob would see a problem starting and come and help even before it was a big problem. We did not work for the same company or anything he just wanted to make sure that all the divers in the water were safe whether they were his or not. He taught me a lot about anticipating the problems before they became problems and helped me to be a much better instructor. His unselfish support will be missed by all divers in Hawaii.

so good comments from all of you, who describe Bob so much. I think, anyone who knew him must have liked him. I knew Bob for so little, but he instantly became a friend. I will never forget the countless diving memories and jokes on the boat. My god, he played the same joke on my diving performance EVERY single dive briefing he gave: "That's a turtle, that's an eel and this is Lukas going through the water HAHAHAHAHAHA..." my god, I will miss him... All the best, where you are now, my good old friend... Lukas - ASD
